Koenig, William

William Henry Koenig Sr., 71, of Glen St. Mary died August 18, 2011 at his
residence.
He was born in Jacksonville, on April 22, 1940 to William Christian and
Ella Margaret James Koenig. William was a resident of Glen St. Mary since
1971 after moving from Jacksonville. He was a member of IBEW local 177 and
a union electrician for 52 years.
Mr. Koenig was an avid gardener and pool player who played against the
then-world champion Minnesota Fats. He also enjoyed cooking and watching
cooking shows.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Phyllis E. Pettibone Koenig of Glen;
sons William (Dani) H. Koenig Jr. and Philip David Koenig, both of Glen; grandsons
Anthony Koenig, David Koenig and William Koenig; one brother-in-law; four
sister-in-laws; numerous nieces and nephews.
